Change is something that many people fear. As human beings, we like routine, consistency and knowing that our actions will produce the results we are looking for. But change is one of the things that trips many of us up. Whether its a new job, graduation, marriage, or any new situation life throws at us, change is something that often is very challenging.
We've all had times that change hasn't been welcome, and I won't lie, even as we build ReclaimU, at times the fast pace changes that have come up have been extremely challenging . But I think what's gotten us through these moments is that when change has come up, we weren't afraid.
We didn't worry about all the "what-if's", but rather focused on the possibilities. And it helped. We learned from our mistakes (cuz we made them and had too!) and we grew as individuals and as a business. When most people think of change, they are fearful that they will not have the energy or the resources to move through a difficult situation. But what if you changed the energy you are spending on being afraid into the energy you need to try something new. How would things be different if you looked at change as an adventure, or a time to learn about your situation and use it in an empowering way.
You see, without change life would be monotonous and boring. And that's so far from what we are meant to be, do and have.... If we didn't change we wouldn't find out what we are truly capable of overcoming, and we would miss out on the excitement of accomplishing something we never dreamt possible. Change is merely an indication that you are ready to expand your comfort zone and meet new challenges, and that's nothing to be afraid of!
Action:
Turn your fear into the fuel you need to take action, move forward and catapult your dreams into reality! The next time you find that you are hesitating when faced with any type of change, focus on the possibilities that that change can bring. Make a list of all the positive outcomes that could happen, and refer to it often when things get challenging.
